How to Monitor Your IT Spend in AWS

One of the primary concerns organizations have when moving to the public cloud is cost. With access to various cloud-native workloads, various cloud storage tiers, and hundreds of cloud-based services, organizations can quickly rack up quite a bill in public cloud services without proper oversight and planning. Luckily, organizations do have services that they can leverage to monitor, optimize, and track spending on cloud services to track their cloud-spending habits and minimize the spending on unnecessary cloud-based services.

When it comes to AWS, organizations can leverage the AWS cloud-native service through AWS Billing and Cost Management. This service allows organizations to monitor their spend on cloud services and set alarms to notify administrators when they are approaching crossing their predefined monthly budget.
