It has become increasingly important for today's IT pros to have a diverse skill set. As more organizations adopt technologies like cloud and automation, IT pros who know how to code will be in high demand.
CBT Nuggets trainer Bart Castle recently sat down with freeCodeCamp founder Quincy Larson to discuss this very topic. During the interview, Larson stressed the importance of learning JavaScript and Python — how doing so can help a wide range of IT pros from sysadmins to DevOps.
"They are two of the biggest software development platforms out there, Larson said. "If you learn how to use those, you're unlocking a lot of tools that you can add to your cart eventually."
