How CSWA Protects Employees From Web Threats
The web is filled with malicious actors. Businesses are constantly trying to improve web-based security for employees while walking that fine line of not being too restrictive so employees can get their jobs done. Traditional blacklisting and whitelisting security options are difficult to manage for IT departments. Tools like the Cisco Secure Web Appliance can make securing web surfing easier.
The Cisco Secure Web Appliance (CSWA) is a tool that monitors web traffic in real-time. It analyzes websites and links for security threats before allowing anyone to click on them. The CSWA is backed by Cisco's Talos threat network. The Talos threat network monitors businesses globally, and when it finds new issues, applies remediations for all businesses under its umbrella.
The CSWA is available as both a hardware appliance and a virtual cloud instance via AWS. That makes it easier to deploy the CSWA gateway both locally and inside of cloud infrastructures.
