CBT Nuggets trainer Jamie Grettum recently released her new Salesforce for End Users Classic Interface course, giving users a non-administrative look at the Salesforce platform. Jamie goes over everything you need to know as a salesperson or sales manager using Salesforce.

In this 18-video course, Jamie explains you all the tools you'll need to dive into the Salesforce platform on the front end and will maximize your productivity and effectiveness with the CRM.

We asked Jamie about her new course and how you can get more out of your training.

Q: Why should companies train their end users in Salesforce? What value does it bring?

While Salesforce is an intuitive platform to learn, the business processes it supports, such as managing leads and tracking opportunity, are generally not as familiar to your employees.

Salesforce might be the most critical investment your company makes in the near future, so leaving adoption to chance is a risky proposition. Training users on the core features, and communicating expectations for the use of those features will increase ROI on this investment.

Q: Who should learn Salesforce? What kind of career will Salesforce skills set you up for?

Learning the basics of Salesforce is almost expected in any sales role in most industries, whether you're a salesperson, sales manager, or marketing professional. Knowing how to convert leads, manage opportunities, and create reports are all foundational tasks that will allow your organization to manage all of your customers' data.

Q: Any out-of-the-box tips for learners to get the most out of your course?

If you're brand new to Salesforce, you're going to want to go through the entire course start to finish. If you're a bit more experienced, you can skip around and jump to the Nuggets you need as you go. Don't forget to block off time to sit down and watch the videos, and actually follow along in your Salesforce Org so you can get hands-on practice!

Q: What's one real-world application someone can expect to use, thanks to Salesforce for End Users Classic Interface?

For a new Salesforce user, you're going to learn about the core features and functionality you need to know. You'll know exactly how the features work no guesswork required.

Q: What course(s) or certification(s) should learners complete before diving into your Salesforce for End Users Classic Interface course?

There are NO courses or certifications or prerequisites needed. Salesforce expects you to jump into the deep end and figure it out, which is not the most effective way to learn, so this course is focused on the core features and functionality. I go over what you need to know to use Salesforce confidently and effectively whether you're new user of Salesforce, or if your company is relaunching Salesforce.

Q: What course(s) or certification(s) should learners look to jump into after they complete Salesforce for End Users Classic Interface?

Dive deeper into Salesforce and learn more about how to use the platform effectively for your organization. Salesforce has lots of tools. CBT Nuggets has lots of content. So, connect with your supervisor and Salesforce admin to figure out how your team should take on Salesforce to make it work!
