Companies and organizations tend to want a lot from their data. Insights are important, obviously, but they also want help making better decisions, and they’re constantly putting more and more demands on the data they have.
Running simple queries and one-to-one data retrievals can already represent a significant workload, but when it comes to sophisticated analysis like forecasting or predictive models, an analytic workload is used. When dealing with tons and tons of data and asking really complex questions of it, analytic workloads can be a burden on whatever system stores the data and runs the computational processes.
This Fundamentals of Analytics Workloads on Azure training shows how the cloud-based Microsoft Azure can make running analytics workloads not just easier, but possible in the first place.
The two-part series covers topics such as describing analytics workloads, how they differ from analytical, and data warehousing, using modern data warehousing like Azure Data Lake or Azure Synapse Analytics, and ingesting and processing data on Azure.
