What is Project Quality Management?
Project quality management is the means with which you maintain the level of quality during the course of a project. There is no set definition of quality. It can differ based on the organization and the project, and is dependent on the project needs.
You can think of project quality management and project management as functioning hand-in-hand. They both lead to the successful completion of a project. While project management is concerned with completing the deliverables of a project in a timely fashion, project quality management is concerned with ensuring that the project's deliverables meet the needs of its users.
There are three phases in project quality management. In the planning phase, you must identify quality requirements. In the assurance phase, you must ensure the level of quality as defined in the planning stage. Finally, in the control phase, you must assess the quality of the project's deliverables.
