What is AWS GuardDuty and How Can It Help Improve Cloud Security?

Today, organizations depend on active infrastructure monitoring to maintain insight into how their infrastructure is performing and also to assess real-time threats in their environment that may affect critical business processes. Just as organizations depend on these services on-prem, so do they depend on these services in the cloud. To address this, AWS has provided the Amazon GuardDuty services to provide AWS cloud-native threat detection born in the cloud.

The Amazon GuardDuty service provides continuous monitoring of critical AWS workloads, storage infrastructure, and services to detect malicious activity and unauthorized behavior in an organization's AWS environment.

The Amazon GuardDuty service provides cost-efficient end-to-end threat monitoring to continually analyze event logs, network activities, and a host of other channels to ensure that an organization's AWS environment is running free of malicious or unauthorized users.
