Microsoft Picture Passwords: A Great Addition to Your MFA Strategy
Picture Passwords act as a great alternative to some of the more common MFA strategies that we've become accustomed to. Picture Passwords within Windows 10 allow users to make a series of unique gestures on a pre-selected picture of your choosing to unlock your Windows-based machine. To dig in a bit deeper, let's discuss the steps to configure Windows Picture Passwords.
To configure a Picture Password navigate to the 'Accounts' section in Windows settings. Within the sign-in options, users can select to add a new Picture Password to initiate the process to configure a new Picture Password.
Here, users will be able to add in the selected picture to be used for the sign-in verification process. Once the picture is selected, users will have the ability to draw three unique gestures on the picture. Once finished, these unique gestures will be the way in which users gain access to their machine.
