What is an Agile team?
An Agile team is an organizational entity put together for the purposes of completing an Agile project. It can consist not only of an organization's employees but also its subcontractors, though all these people are typically co-located during the course of the project. A distinguishing feature of Agile teams is that members are typically focused only on this project and nothing else.
Another aspect of Agile teams that make it distinct from other types of teams is that members generally don't have set roles. Roles can change during the course of the project, and each member must have the ability to be cross-functional and provide whatever the team needs to succeed.
Agile teams will vary depending on the Agile framework chosen. In a Scrum framework, for example, a team will include a Scrum Master, who is responsible for managing the project, and a Product Owner, who is responsible for ascertaining that the project's deliverables meet the needs of those who will make use of the deliverables.
