New: Cisco CCNP R/S 300-101 ROUTE
Trainer Jeremy Cioara just completed his "Cisco CCNP R/S 300-101 ROUTE" video training course. This 29-video course will cover topics such as connecting office technologies, routing protocol choices, EIGRP, OSPF, redistribution, and more. By watching this course, learners will also prepare for the 300-101 exam.
Q: What was your favorite Nugget to create? SNMPv3 by far – I set a personal goal to record as much information in 10 minutes as possible…this nugget is faster, funnier, and more packed with information than anything I've ever recorded before.
Q: What roadblocks did you come across when creating this training and how did you overcome them? The biggest roadblock was the HUGE amount of information and hands-on expectation now contained in the ROUTE exam (and the new CCNP exams in general). Thankfully Keith Barker came to the rescue by recording a side-by-side Nugget series called "CCNP ROUTE Hands On Labs" which allowed me to focus the core ROUTE series on concepts and demonstrations.
Q: From a student-perspective, what did you keep in mind when creating this course? I tried to put myself "back in time" to when I first learned this content asking myself many of the same questions during the training that I remember getting stumped on when I entered the CCNP ROUTE series (which used to be called Cisco BSCI back in my day…walking uphill in the snow; you know the story…). In addition, I focused the content on the modern exam content of the new 300-101 ROUTE exam, cutting out the "fluff" that is no longer relevant or tested.
Q: Any outside-of-the-box tips for students to get the most out of your course? Absolutely. You have to fall in love. Curious? Watch the last 5 minutes of the Welcome video of the ROUTE series ;o).
Q: What's the ONE thing you hope learners take away from this training? I want learners to really gain the ESSENCE of Cisco routing (and IP routing in general). This is the beauty of networking – there's no reboot necessary to fix issues. It's simple – you're building digital roads. If those roads aren't working, there's a Lego building block that has been missed. There's a GREAT sense of satisfaction, accomplishment, and overall warm and fuzzy feelings to FINDING and FIXING that missing Lego block. I want EVERY ONE of the learners listening to this training to walk away feeling that sense of routing goodness.
Q: What's one real-world application someone can expect to use, thanks to this course? Configuring multi-site, worldwide routing over an MPLS full-mesh cloud while tying in an Internet connection via BGP all while eating a tasty can of pizza flavored Pringles potato chips. Yum.
