Summary
How vSmart, vManage, vBond, and CLI Templates Work Together
Cisco vSmart Controllers comprise the centralized brain for an SD-WAN solution. They control data traffic flow throughout the network and coordinate with the vBond Orchestrator to authenticate devices joining the network and govern inter-router connectivity. vManage is Cisco's centralized network management system. Admins can access a simple graphical dashboard to configure and manage the entire overlay network. vBond is an orchestrator that automatically governs connectivity between Cisco routers and controllers.
CLI templates are user defined and created based on customized parameters. They allow sysadmins to choose configuration elements and provide variables that can be replaced with real values and logic systems. Cisco Prime LAN Management System is the source for templates that can be easily imported.
When the limits of any individual CLI template is reached, more than one can be used. Cisco has designed CLI templates to be capable of being grouped into a single composite template by specifying which should be used and what their order of operation should be.
