Implement VPN and DirectAccess Solutions in Windows Server FAQs: Cost, Training, Value
This course is not intended for beginners with little to no routing or switching experience, so systems administrators and network administrators with a few years of experience are the best candidates for this course. Anyone with responsibility for mobility or security administration on a network should take this course.
Although this course was designed to help learners take exam 70-741 and earn the MCSA: Windows Server 2016, Microsoft retired them both in 2021. Since Microsoft didn't replace the cert or exam after retiring them, this training is now only good for learning to actually implement VPNs or DirectAccess.
Although you'll need to do additional prep work before attempting their exams, you might consider the Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or the Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty after this course. Both of those cert exams include sections related to implementing VPNs and using DirectAccess in Windows Server.
You should take this training because implementing mobility solutions on Windows Server is a rare skill. Networks need administrators who know how to manage VPNs by making use of the tools that come equipped within Windows Server. It's a short course, and you'll be a more valuable asset after.
