VMware Certified Professional 6 – Network Virtualization (2V0-642) FAQs: Cost, Training, Value
This is an advanced course, so network administrators with a few years of experience are the recommended audience – cloud administrators might also want to take it. If the job you have or you want to have involves VMware technology and the possibility of virtualization, you should take this course.
This VMware network virtualization training used to help learners prepare for the 2V0-642 certification exam for the VMware Certified Professional 6, but VMware retired the exam. Technically, VMware also retired the Certified Professional 6, as that certification now gets updated every two years and has its name updated.
Depending on where you are in your career, you'll want to consider either the VCP - VMware Certified Professional or the VCTA - VMware Certified Technical Associate. Earning either one will depend largely on advanced knowledge of network virtualization, but there will also be additional preparation you'll need to do.
You should take this network virtualization training because the best networking jobs go to the people who learn the particularly advanced, specialized tools. This course in mastering VMware NSX products starts with understanding what makes virtualization worthwhile and ends with performing advanced configurations on VMware technology.
