For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
For IT leaders: Many network outages and slow ticket resolutions trace back to gaps in fundamentals such as subnetting errors, VLAN and trunk misconfigurations, spanning tree issues, and interface faults nobody knows how to read. This CCNA (200-301 v1.1) course gives your team a shared baseline across switching, routing (static and OSPF), IPv4/IPv6 addressing, wireless and WLC design, QoS, network security, AAA, and automation concepts.
Role fit: Best for junior network administrators, help desk staff moving into networking, and experienced admins who need to validate Cisco skills. Learners should have about a year of networking exposure. Team Leads can assign it to one individual or an entire infrastructure group.
Time investment: The course spans 88 skills and about 94 hours. Plan on two to four months per learner at a steady weekly pace. Each skill ends in a scenario or hands-on lab, so progress can be checked skill by skill.
Change-management notes: Some wireless content uses legacy AireOS controllers because the exam covers them. Set expectations that modern controller interfaces will look different in production. Automation segments introduce how automation concepts and tools fit into networking workflows and do not ask learners to write scripts.
How CBT Nuggets supports it: Virtual Labs let learners practice configurations such as VLANs and IP addressing without touching production gear. Practice Exams help gauge readiness before exam day. Playlists and Team Reporting let Training Managers sequence the material and track completion across the team.
