For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
For IT leaders: As AWS footprints grow to dozens of accounts and hundreds of resources, misconfigurations slip past preventive controls, and architecture decisions about migration, resilience, and cost get made without senior-level judgment. This course builds that judgment across your cloud team.
Role fit: Best for mid-level to senior solutions architects and cloud Team Leads with hands-on AWS experience who are moving into enterprise design responsibilities. It is not an introduction. IT practitioners new to AWS should start with the Associate (SAA-C03) course.
Time investment: Plan for about 25 hours of video across 25 skills, plus hands-on build time. Projects carry over from skill to skill, starting with governance, identity, and guardrails and moving on to networking, compute, and data workloads. Learners should complete the skills in order rather than jumping in mid-course.
Risk and compliance: The course covers areas that matter for audit readiness:
- SCPs and RCPs
- Centralized detection through a security account
- Control Tower
- Private access patterns for AWS API calls
- Data workload governance and encryption strategy tradeoffs
- RPO/RTO-driven disaster recovery planning
Change-management note: Learners build in a working AWS environment, so budget for sandbox accounts and set cost guardrails before they start.
Scenario-based validation questions in each skill reinforce exam-style reasoning for SAP-C02. Playlists let you sequence this course after Associate-level prep.
