There are more powerful, robust and versatile games development languages, but JavaScript is highly capable and a great place for new developers to start. JavaScript is notoriously easy to learn and has tons of support and documentation – it's a great language for game developers to start with. On the other hand, learning to develop games in JavaScript is a great way for software engineers to master the language.

How difficult is it to learn to build a game with JavaScript?

Assuming you're already familiar with the fundamentals of coding with JavaScript and the basics of game design, it won't be very difficult to learn how to build games with JavaScript. This course assumes you have a basic understanding of JavaScript before it jumps into asynchronous programming, closures, promises and error handling. This course isn't a breeze, but it's a good challenge for a relatively experienced JavaScript coder, and a great way to learn advanced JavaScript.

Is this JavaScript game development course associated with any certifications?
