For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
For IT leaders: Enterprise networks fail in quiet ways: a missing FHRP object track that black-holes traffic, recursive routing on a GRE tunnel, or a QoS policy that starves voice. This course gives your network team a shared, blueprint-aligned foundation across campus design, routing (OSPF, OSPFv3, EIGRP, BGP), QoS, virtualization (VRF Lite, GRE), enterprise network security and Cisco security design components, and automation (Python, REST APIs, YANG).
Role fit: Built for network admins and IT Practitioners with three to five years of experience. Team Leads can use it to standardize skills before SD-WAN, SD-Access, or automation projects. SD-WAN, SD-Access, LISP, and VXLAN are taught at the conceptual level the exam expects. Plan separate deep-dive training for production rollouts.
Time investment: About 67 hours across 74 skills. Most skills run 45 to 60 minutes, so learners can complete a few skills each week alongside on-call duties.
Certification path: ENCOR is the core exam for CCNP Enterprise. Learners also need one concentration exam, taken in either order, so budget for both.
How CBT Nuggets supports the outcome: Each skill ends with quizzes and a design or troubleshooting challenge. Dedicated review skills help learners find weak areas before exam day. Virtual Labs let engineers practice FHRP, IP SLA, OSPF, BGP, and NTP configuration without touching production gear. A 350-401 practice exam helps confirm readiness before you fund exam attempts.
