For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
For IT leaders: Many IT teams still handle user provisioning, file transfers, and server checks by hand. That work is slow, error-prone, and hard to scale. This course helps systems administrators replace repeat tasks with tested, reusable PowerShell automation.
Role fit: Built for systems administrators and IT practitioners who manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, or mixed Windows and Linux environments. Team Leads can use it to set a shared scripting standard built on modules, functions, error handling, and debugging. That way, scripts are easier to maintain no matter who wrote them.
Time investment: The PowerShell 7 track runs about 15 hours, from foundations through real-world automation, Linux, and modules. The full course totals about 54 hours. That includes reference training on PowerShell v2–4 covering remoting, WMI/CIM, background jobs, and scripting automation. This is useful for teams that still support older versions in production. Training Managers can assign only the PowerShell 7 skills, or the full path, depending on each person’s role.
Change-management notes: The remoting content covers real-world setup with certificates and trusted hosts, not lab-only shortcuts. Plan to review your org’s remoting and security policies before rolling out new scripts.
How CBT Nuggets supports the outcome: Learners practice in Virtual Labs with Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, and Ubuntu machines, so they test scripts away from production. Hands-on lab assignments and scenarios, such as streaming API data into SQL Server, connect the training to daily operations.
