For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
Many IT teams still provision servers, push configs, and ship changes by hand, which leads to configuration drift, partial failures from half-finished scripts, and outages that are hard to trace. This course gives IT Directors one structured path for moving systems, cloud, and network administrators into repeatable, pipeline-driven operations.
Role fit: It is built for practitioners with roughly 2–3 years of infrastructure experience. It starts with the Linux CLI, Python, and PowerShell, then moves through Git, containers, Terraform, and Ansible. It finishes with CI/CD using GitLab CI, deployment strategies, monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, and GitOps with Argo CD.
Time investment: Plan for about 28 hours per learner across 33 skills, most under an hour each. That makes it practical to assign one or two skills per week alongside normal project work.
Risk and compliance: The course covers secret management, TLS certificates, identity and access management, and secure pipelines. This helps teams keep credentials out of repositories and apply consistent controls.
Change management: Assign it to a cohort rather than one person, so the team adopts shared Git workflows and infrastructure-as-code conventions together.
Most skills end with a validation challenge in a virtual lab. Learners complete tasks such as SSH key automation, rolling container deployments, and troubleshooting a broken Nginx configuration, so they build hands-on confidence before touching production.
