For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
For IT leaders: Traditional WANs get expensive and complex once teams add redundant routers, multiple circuits, and per-application routing decisions. A common example is using MPLS for traffic that could be handled through internet access instead. This course prepares network teams to deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, and to prepare for the 300-415 ENSDWI exam toward CCNP Enterprise.
Role fit: Network engineers, operations leads, and system architects who already work comfortably in the Cisco CLI. It suits teams running multi-site, cloud-connected WANs or planning a migration.
Time investment: 44 skills, about 35.5 hours per learner. Plan for additional lab time.
Change-management note: Day-to-day configuration moves from device-level config t to centralized management through SD-WAN Manager. The course also shows teams how to use GUI troubleshooting tools for a fabric-wide view. Expect some habit change for CLI-first engineers.
Lab planning: Learners work through hands-on labs that reinforce SD-WAN deployment, configuration, CLI workflows, and troubleshooting. Confirm that teams have access to an appropriate lab environment and enough time to repeat configurations as needed.
How CBT Nuggets supports the outcome: Each section includes lab challenges, review skills, and quiz skills that help learners identify gaps before moving forward. Unlimited practice exams then help build certification readiness.
