New: Cisco CCNP Route 300-101 Hands-On Labs
Trainer Keith Barker just completed his latest video training course, "Cisco CCNP Route 300-101 Hands-On Labs Exam Prep." This 24-video course is completely lab-based and is focused on the technologies from Cisco CCNP Route/Switch (300-101). Each Nugget is designed help you create and verify Cisco networks using GNS3 1.x, and will prepare you to take the lab portion of Cisco's CCNP 300-101 exam.
Q: What was your favorite Nugget to create? IPv6 OSPFv3 Virtual Links. It caused me to re-think (or maybe just remember) how virtual links really work.
Q: What roadblocks did you come across when creating this training and how did you overcome them? No real roadblocks to speak of, but I did have to pause a few times to remember how some of the pieces all fit together.
Q: From a student perspective, what did you keep in mind when creating this course? I wanted to be sure that every viewer would have the ability to recreate the specific lab (in each Nugget) on their own. To assist with that I included ALL the commands used in each Nugget, along with the topology diagrams so that a learner could easily replicate the lab and get their own hands-on practice.
Q: Any outside-of-the-box tips for students to get the most out of your course? Yes. Once the lab is built, practice additional show commands and really look at the output. That will help the learner internalize what they are practicing in their lab.
Q: What's the ONE thing you hope learners take away from this training? The way to improve one's skills is to practice using those skills, and each Nugget delivers exactly that. Reasonable, achievable hands-on practice for every learner who is willing to follow along in the video and lab it up in their own practice environment.
Q: What's one real-world application someone can expect to use, thanks to this course? When they have to implement or troubleshoot in a production environment, the skills they have gained by following the labs in this course will make them measurably better (and faster) in doing their job.
