For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
Inconsistent formatting, broken section layouts, and documents shared before basic checks are complete cost office teams rework time and create avoidable risk. This course gives administrative staff, office support roles, and entry-level professionals a shared, standardized way of working in Microsoft Word, aligned to the MO-110 Word Associate exam.
Role fit: This is a beginner-level course for anyone who creates, edits, or reviews business documents such as contracts, training manuals, handbooks, newsletters, and reports. It is not aimed at IT infrastructure staff.
Time investment: Plan for about 6 hours per learner across 7 skills. Each skill runs roughly 50 minutes, so a Team Lead can assign one skill per week without pulling staff off daily work.
Risk and compliance angle: Your team practices using Word’s File Info checkers to find document issues, compatibility problems, and accessibility gaps before sharing. Learners also build safer document habits around saving, printing, spell check, and Word options that control how documents behave.
Change management: Training on built-in heading styles and style sets helps teams apply your organization’s document standards consistently, instead of formatting each file by hand.
The final skill is a set of hands-on revision challenges that reinforce exam readiness. Team members who need advanced document skills can continue into the MO-111 Word Expert course.
