What are the Benefits of Windows Backup and Restore?

Many individuals and organizations downplay the importance of a backup until they've experienced a data loss event or sustained a cyberattack. Often, users and organizations unknowingly create single points of failure by neglecting to create backups of their production machines. This single point of failure can cause catastrophic implications if that machine contained sensitive information or supported business-critical processes.

Microsoft Backup and Restore is a Microsoft solution that allows users to create backup images of their Windows machine to protect against data loss or corruption. Whether it’s a disk corruption, a Windows Machine failure, or a malware attack, by creating a backup, Windows Backup limits the risk associated with these data loss events.

Users and organizations can take one step further by proliferating the backup. By creating copies of that backup in multiple locations, users and organizations can rest easy knowing their data is safe and recoverable in the event of a data outage.
