Adept is the learning platform CBT Nuggets built and runs. CBT Nuggets runs its own training business on Adept — every CBT Nuggets seat, every course and every IT Trainerbot answer. The training, the trainers and the agreement you already have with CBT Nuggets are the same; the platform underneath is new.
Adept was built new, from nothing: no legacy technology and no legacy code carried forward. The build began in 2020: a team of 20 engineers over three years, on 20+ years of CBT Nuggets experience delivering online IT training, built to scale.
That is why the name appears beside ours — “CBT Nuggets, powered by Adept” means the same company and a new platform.
The principle
Human experts write it. AI builds and delivers it.
AI runs throughout Adept — in how courses are assembled, indexed, searched, assessed and answered — and never as a way of generating learning content. Every lesson starts with a human expert. Once content exists it is indexed, and that index is what drives the assessments and IT Trainerbot.
By “learning content” we mean what is taught — the knowledge, the explanations and the judgment in a lesson. That always comes from a human expert’s own material; the platform’s AI never writes it.

The Internal Training builder works the same way: it structures and assembles a course from the material your expert uploaded — objectives, segments, narration read from the source, knowledge checks drawn from it — and your expert reviews the result before it is published, so the expertise is yours and the construction is the platform’s.
