Summary
What is vManage NMS?
vManage NMS (Network Management System) is a tool that lets you monitor, configure and maintain your Cisco SD-WAN devices and links in your underlay and overlay network through a GUI. You install vManage on a server in your network and access the GUI through either a Chrome or Firefox browser from VPN 0 or VPN 512, which are the WAN transport and management VPNs, respectively.
In vManage's dashboard, you can view the overall health of your network. This includes the states of devices and controller certificates as well as the number of reboots and crashes. It also includes a variety of tools, such as a terminal where you can establish an SSH session with your devices.
You can additionally access the functionality of vManage through its RESTful API. With this, you can include static and real-time data about your network and the devices in it within your own applications. You can further use the API for uploading device configuration templates and other configuration data.
