Managing and Editing Internal Training Courses and Skills

After creating a course or Skill with Internal Training, you can review, customize, and update the content to meet your organization's needs.

Whether you built your training manually or used AI-assisted generation, your content remains editable after creation.

Editing an existing Skill

To make changes to a completed Skill:

  1. Open the Skill you want to modify.
  2. Turn editing on by clicking the pencil icon.
  3. Select the content or component you want to update.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. You can add additional new components (images, video, etc. using the component bar. Components can be reordered in your skill by dragging them to their desired position.

You can continue updating your training as your organization's processes, tools, or requirements change.

What can you edit?

Internal Training lets you customize individual components within your Skills.

You can:

  • Edit or remove existing content components.
  • Update written training material.
  • Add your own images.
  • Add your own videos.
  • Adjust training content after AI generation.
  • Edit quiz questions and answers (click on the question and select the edit option)

This allows you to combine AI-generated materials with your organization's own resources.

Reviewing AI-generated content

AI-assisted creation can help you build training from existing documentation, but it's important to review the finished material before enrolling learners.

When reviewing a completed Skill, consider the following:

  • Does the training accurately reflect your source documents?
  • Are the instructions and procedures current?
  • Is the content appropriate for your intended audience?
  • Do the videos and images support the learning objectives?
  • Are the quiz questions relevant to the material?

You can make edits to improve the content before sharing it with your team.

Managing course and Skill visibility

Internal Training courses and Skills are currently set to Visible by default.

This means newly created content is not automatically hidden while you review it.

Adding AI-generated Skills to manually created courses

You don't have to choose between manual and AI-assisted training.

You can create a course manually and later add AI-generated Skills to expand the training.

This is useful when you want to organize your own course structure while using AI to help develop individual training topics.

To add an AI generated Skill to an existing Course, turn editing on from the Course page by clicking the pencil icon. Scroll down and select Add AI Skill.

Updating training over time

Internal Training is designed to support ongoing training needs.

As your organization's documentation or processes change, you can return to your existing courses and Skills to make updates.

For example, you might:

  • Update an onboarding course when your company changes its internal tools.
  • Revise an IT procedure after a system upgrade.
  • Replace outdated training images or videos.
  • Add new content to an existing training course.

Keeping your training current helps ensure learners have access to relevant information.
