GitHub Advanced Security (GH-500)
This GH-500 course gives IT Directors and Team Leads a way to make GitHub security a shared, repeatable practice across engineering. Developers, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and GitHub administrators will learn to triage and respond to security alerts, remediate exposed secrets and supply chain alerts, and configure advanced Dependabot settings and auto-triage to reduce alert noise. Administrators also learn to enforce review with CODEOWNERS, manage roles and permissions for least-privilege access, and govern security settings at the organization level. Assign it before rolling out new auto-triage rules, permission changes, or org-wide security settings so the team shares one understanding when controls go live. Pair it with GH-100 and GH-200 in a Playlist for a complete GitHub path, and use Team Reporting to track progress and export completions as audit evidence.
