Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Installation and Configuration (70-410) FAQs: Cost, Training, Value
Server administrators and systems administrators should take this course, especially if they might work with Windows Server 2012. Server 2012 is so old that its differences from modern operating systems can be confusing and hard to recognize. Make sure you can navigate the dated software and configure it correctly.
This Windows Server 2012 course used to prepare learners for taking exam 70-410, one of the three exams for earning the MCSA. That certification is now retired, but the content is still valid for anyone who needs to install and do initial configurations for Windows Server 2012.
Microsoft has retired every certification that's specifically related to Windows Server 2012, so there's no certification that follows easily from this course. But if you want a certification in server administration and installation, there are a few, like the Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate and Enterprise Administrator Expert.
You should take this course because enterprise networks that are still using Server 2012 can't afford to be administered by people who are only familiar with the most recent versions. Learning to navigate, use and install the out-dated software properly could mean a long career maintaining legacy networks.
