Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-103) Online Training

Note: The exam associated with this course was retired. However, this course still retains value as a training resource.
Microsoft released an updated version of this exam. If you'd like to prepare for the newest version of the exam, please watch our Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) course.

In this entry-level Microsoft Azure Administrator training, Chuck Keith prepares Azure administrators to take the AZ-103 exam, which is the one exam required to earn the Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate certification.

Now boasting the second largest market share among cloud providers, Azure has seen incredible growth rates in the past few years, which makes AZ-103 training a safe bet for systems administrators looking to keep their skills current.

Even if you’re not planning to take the AZ-103 exam, this Azure training can be a valuable reference resource for Azure administrators — or even used as part of an Azure migration training plan. No matter how you use it, after finishing this Azure administrator training, you'll not only find yourself more marketable as a systems administrator, but you’ll also be able to bill yourself as an Azure professional.

For managers with Microsoft products, this Azure Administrator training can be used for AZ-103 exam prep, on-boarding new systems administrators, or an Azure migration training plan.

AZ-103: What You Need to Know

This Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate training maps to the Microsoft AZ-103 exams objectives, and covers topics such as:

  • Learn about Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates
  • Automate your work in the cloud with Powershell DSC
  • Maintain cloud storage, including backups, cloud migration, and cloud analytics
  • Set up virtual machines in the cloud
  • Content delivery networks, profiles, and dynamic content
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues in the cloud

Who Should Take AZ-103 Training?

This Azure Administrator training is considered associate-level Microsoft training, which means it was designed for systems administrators and Azure administrators. This AZ-103 course is valuable for new IT professionals with at least a year of experience with Azure and experienced administrators looking to validate their cloud skills.

New or aspiring Azure administrators. Azure makes easy what was once difficult, cumbersome, or monotonous. But you need to learn how to use these tools, and that’s where AZ-103 training comes in. Chuck Keith designed this course so that anyone could learn the core Azure services, store and share files, configure virtual machines in the cloud, enable cloud access and privileges. If you get into this course and find it too advanced, AZ-900 may be a better starting point — and that’s fine, too.

Experienced systems administrators. Any systems administrator who has been using Azure services for a few years may be able to skip around in this AZ-103 training. If you already know how to deploy or resize Azure VMs, then skip that part and move to the MFA section, Azure CLI, or the Azure CDN videos. Chuck Keith built this AZ-103 from the AZ-103 exam objectives, though. If you’re preparing to take the AZ-103 exam, watch every video and take every in-video quiz. It’ll be a good review.
