Q: Why should companies train their IT professionals in this technology? What value does it bring?
PMI PMP training and certification ensures that projects are being managed based in accepted industry best practices. PMI has evolved these best practices to ensure that they continue to reflect reality in today’s global and distributed world.
Q: From a student-perspective, what did you keep in mind when creating this course?
The PMP is a very significant exam/certification and therefore I was focused on helping the student understand the areas which are most likely to be [included] on the exam.
Q: Any out-of-the-box tips for students to get the most out of your course?
While this course is AWESOME, it is probably not sufficient to pass the exam. Students also need to be prepared to read the PMBOK, take practice exams, and then be prepared to review their weaker areas as identified by the practice exams.
Q: What’s one real-world application someone can expect to use, thanks to this course?
More $$$$ and better jobs! PMP certification is internationally recognized and, on average, PMP-certified project managers get better jobs and salaries.
Q: What was your favorite Nugget to create?
I am a fan of risk management! Risk management is a very intensive subject and I love to explore the processes for effective risk management.
Q: What’s the ONE thing you hope learners take away from this training?
That being a PM is one of the most exciting, interesting, and rewarding jobs available.
