In 2012, we produced 48.9 million metric tons of e-waste worldwide.
That number is supposed to increase to 72.09 million tons by 2017, according to a new study released by the U.N. The United States generated the most e-waste (9.4 million metric tons), well ahead of China (7.3 million metric tons).
What do you think we should do to mitigate the amount of e-waste produced? What do you do when you’re “done” with an electronic device?
