Yesterday was Veterans Day in the United States, and today many schools and businesses are observing the holiday. In honor of the holiday, we wanted to share some images from the trip our local Honor Flight chapter took to Washington, DC, last month.
As you may remember, October’s NuggetLOVE charity was Honor Flight. After hearing how much these flights mean to veterans, CBT Nuggets’ CEO decided to fund an additional flight (yes, an entire flight) during October. Plus, two CBT Nuggets employees (Brian and Hayes) went along to assist.

Nearly 60 veterans made the trip to Washington, DC, to visit war memorials and participate in ceremonies. The emotion and experience of the trip cannot be conveyed through a single blog post, but we would like to share some of the images from Brian and Hayes. Thank you veterans!
The veterans received words of thanks from citizens young and old.
CBT Nuggets’ own Brian (standing, left) is a veteran as well.

The veterans were honored at a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
