Cooking for Geeks

It’s nearly Thanksgiving here in America, which for many of us means sitting down to a feast. And while turkey, gravy, and pie are hard to beat, these geeky recipes are too good not to share.*

If it’s good enough for Cersei…

If you’ve read books from George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series, you know the various foods are practically their own characters. Inn at the Crossroads set out bring dishes to real life. The recipes for a “Westerosi Thanksgiving” include cod cakes, fig tarts, and mulled wine.

In a similar vein, Gourmet Gaming makes videos games into tasty treats. Minecraft Pumpkin Pie is a timely choice. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker – Grandma’s Elixir Soup looks good too, as does the Sunset Sarsaparilla inspired by Fallout: Las Vegas.

For a hearty dish, Yoda’s Rootleaf Stew (via BigOven), looks like a crowd-pleaser (for a crowd of Star Wars lovers, that is).

And of course, you can’t go wrong with Pi Pie. Or, if you want to be really unconventional, Pi Cake.

Have you seen any techie recipes lately?
