The skies were cloudy, but the NuggetLOVE spirit was strong at Relay for Life.
Here in western Oregon, local wisdom holds that summer doesn’t start until July 5. At this point, we hope that’s true, because it has been a rainy June! But a few showers didn’t keep CBT Nuggets team members from supporting our latest NuggetLOVE cause, Relay for Life.
Sean, Evan, Robert, and Tyson (l-r) represented NuggetLOVE.
Tyson, one of our resident development wizards, participated in a local relay. His team of 10 people has raised more than $8,000 for this year’s relay, and they’re still collecting money! Several CBT Nuggets team members also went to the relay to support Tyson and the cause.
The weather is relevant because Relay for Life is an outdoor event – and an overnight event. For 18 hours, teams take turns running or walking around a local track. The event is both a fundraiser and a reminder that cancer never sleeps – nor does it cancel due to rain.
Evan does… something…
But while the relay raises money for a serious issue, the event itself is fun, uplifting, and full of smiles – rain or shine.
