Project Closure
This Nugget covers the final segment of the Project+ Exam – Project Closure. This Nugget focuses on the work required to properly close a project. Project Closing is much more than just saying we’re done and perhaps having a party. Full and proper closing includes obtaining formal acceptance of the project, ensuring the project handover to operations and production support is complete, conducting a project review to harvest re-usable artifacts, documenting lessons learned, releasing project resources and closing any outstanding vendor contracts. The results of these project closing activities should be documented in the project closure document which should be stored in a project closure library to ensure that others in your organization can benefit from the work completed by and the lessons learned on your project.
