This Nugget is the last of six of Nuggets that covers the fourth segment of the Project+ Exam – Change, Control and Communication. This Nugget focuses on a Project Communication Management and Distributed Project Management. Project Communication focuses on ensuring the Communications Management Plan created in Project Planning is fully and completely implemented. Effective project communications is all about full, open and honest communication of the current project status to the appropriate project stakeholders in the appropriate format at the appropriate time. Keeping the project stakeholders informed of the current project status, good and bad, is critical to ensure that the stakeholders are aware of the project and have the information they need to make the appropriate support decisions to help keep the project on track. This Nugget closes with a brief discussion on some special characteristics and requirements for effective project management of a distributed project team, whether they are distributed across a city, region, country or world.
