Quality Management Plan
This Nugget is the eighth that covers the second segment of the Project+ Exam – Project Planning. This Nugget is focused defining the Quality processes to be followed by the project. Establishing an appropriate quality program in project planning is critical to ensure that the appropriate quality processes are built into the program. The Quality Management plan starts with a definition of the quality expectation so of the project, identifying whether this is a mission critical project with zero tolerance for quality issues or whether the project is an “average” business project with some ability to accept quality issues in non-core areas. With the Quality expectation defined, the next step is to identify the appropriate quality processes such as reviews, walk thrus, inspections and testing are built into the project delivery approach. With the quality expectation defined and the appropriate quality processes identified, a quality management plan is prepared to document these and is presented to the sponsor to gain acceptance and commitment to the quality process.
