PERT/GANTT/CPM and Schedule Compression
This Nugget is the fourth that covered the second segment of the Project+ Exam – Project Planning. This Nugget is focused on several principles used in the development of the project schedule. A significant component of this Nugget is focused on using the Critical Chain Method using the Precedence Diagramming Method to calculate the project’s Critical Path. With the Critical Path tasks identified, the Nugget then explores 2 techniques for schedule compression: Fast Tracking and Crashing. As well this Nugget explores 2 other scheduling techniques called the Gantt Chart and the PERT method.
