Define Change Management Process
This Nugget is the third of 11 that covers the second segment of the Project+ Exam – Project Planning. This Nugget describes the Change Management process which must be planned into the project to ensure that the business is aware of and prepared for the inevitable changes that will be dealt with during the project. The Change Management Process consists of Integrated Change Management ensuring that all changes consider the impact to scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, quality, procurement and risk are considered in an integrated approach and that the changes are well communicated to all project stakeholders. Sample Change Request Forms and Change Request logs are reviewed to demonstrate how change management can be applied. Finally, principles are reviewed to help manage and eliminate a significant project challenge called “Scope Creep”.
